They will be postcard sized and each one will be an original, hand drawn piece.
If you would like one, please comment below with your address. Ill keep comments screened so that nobody else will see it. And then Ill mail you an art card ^_^
If you have a preferance for the subject matter of the drawing please say so! By default it will be random if not otherwise specified. If your OKAY with Mature! artwork then be sure to say so, if you do not it will be PG - G rated. :)

So Iv spent the last 24 hrs marathoning all 27 episodes of a delightfull british comedy called Young Dracula. The concept around which the show hinges is very simple. Dracula and his familey have been driven out of Transylvania by an angry peasent mob, and have moved to a quiet little town in England.
Dracula has two children, an older daughter Ingrid who is the picture of spitefull evilness but whome he ignores on account of her being a girl. And younger Vlad, who he wants to be his heir. Vlad however, does not want to be a vampire, and wishes he could simply live a normal life. And since he dosnt get his vampireishness untill his 16th birthday (the show starts with him 12) he dosnt particularily feel all that vampiric anyways. He meets and befriends the neighborhood Goth Kid who has always wished he could be a vampire, and is absolutly thrilled to have vampires as neighbors. The woodwork teacher at shcool is a desendant of the great Van Hellsing, and is always trying to convince his son of the terrible danger of vampires. His son, of course, thinks he is a looney.
All of the original vampire legendry has come back, which is a breath of fresh air to go back to some old classic concepts. They turn into bats. They burn in sunlight. They cant stand garlic. They cant enter a place without being invited. They dont have reflections. Even some more obscure ones, like the fact that they cant cross running water. Of course none of this applies to Ingrid and Vlad, neither of whome have come into their vampiricness yet.
Dracula himself, is overplayed to the max for hilarious effect. His voice is like David Bowie in Labyrinth and if it wasnt for the fact that he is sooo very campy, he would be sexy. And Vlad is cute, playing the rebelious teenager who wants to be nice and civilised and behave instead of being eeeviilll, which the Count bewails constantly. "You Dissapoint Me, Vlad."
But Grace! I thought you hated all "nice vampire" shows! Ah, not quite. My loathing of the goody two shoes vampire does not apply to comedy! You see its a fine concept, when not taken seriously. Its when a writer has a nice, goody goody vampire who wouldnt hurt a fly, and tries to sell him like hes still dark and sexy thats where I tune out. But for comedy, its quite good. Especially kids. And campy villains. And hilarious wannabe slayers. Just...the entire thing was done so well. Shame they didnt make a season 3. Im quite smitten with the show. British comedy is usually quite good.

Today was an evening at the Theater, there was improve, there was wine tasting, there were fancy hors d'œuvres. A fine evening all around! I was the youngest person there. I dont understand why people my own age arent into things like live theater and the theater community. Iv been working on the set for the upcomming play and practising my poem reciting and my song(s) its going well. Its gonna be an awsome performance!
I did this doodle that turned out really awsome today! I actually really like the outcome its quite nice. It incorporates all sorts of crap I love (bondage, corsets, fetish shoes, chains...putting random hearts everywhere...ect.) I totally love the outfit. This is my dream fetish outfit. Id love someday for a guy to dress me up in something like this and take me out in public on a leash (not just anywhere in public of course if its going with the breast baring corset, dont wanna get arrested haha) and show me off...it would be hot. (Maybe I could be wearing vibrating panties at the same time, and he would have the remote!) Yeah, its on my bucket list I guess.

Every so often I find myself being more sociable then is my norm, and spending time with groups of girls my own age. It is during these times that I feel just slightly out of place with the preferances and tastes... I dont usually watch cheesy chick flicks although I do enjoy them on occasion, and I try to avoid high school drama flicks like the plague, as they dont actually stop at boring me but actually offend me to my core (OMIGAWD, we like, totally have to beat those POPULAR GIRLS)...and yet, while watching the trailers all the girls around me are going "Oh yeah another highschool movie, that looks so good! OH SQUEE TWILIGHT IS COMMING SOON" And say things like "I saw "The Box"...it wasnt very good...I liked it untill it started to get all weird and sci fi...ugh I really cant stand sci fi..." And I realise, I dont QUITE fit in here. But thats okay, because I love these girls anyways and they love me anyways. I just really need to make them watch some of my movies sometime ;).
 17 Again
I'v actually been meaning to see this for the sole reason that my cousin told me there was an incredibly nerdy side character in it that was hilarious. And there was. And he is. Actually the nerd was probably the best part of the whole movie. There is something just ever so adorable about nerd-love. The nerdy romance side plot made me so happy, mostly because it was intended to be goofy but I found it sweet. Your supposed to laugh at the guy who collects medieval weaponry and sleeps in a star trek bed and wears elf ears, but I thought he was awsome, because I can completly relate to that. This movie was 100% predictable, a complete mishmash of plots already done. Mysterious stranger who instigates a transformation and leads him to his destiny? Check. Its a Wonderfull Life rip off? Oh yeah. Bitchy highschool girls? Yes. But it was charming and fun the way it was done. Im not a big Zac Effron fangirl, first of all. I loved him in Hairspray, mostly because he was so over the top corny, but Im not a Highschool Musical fan, and hes just so young, he just looks like a little kid to me. Hes got such a babyface. But oh man, you can sure tell theres potential there....when he gets into his 30's he will be sexy as hell, for sure.
I really appreciated his character. The first thing we find out about him is that hes the captain of the basketball team and best friends with the school nerd, and sticks up for him all the time. His girlfriend informs him that she is pregnant, and while he suffers a moment of shock and confusion, when she runs away he abandons his BIG GAME (which presumably his whole athletic career was riding on, was going to get him into college ect) to go after her, and ask her to marry him. I mean this guy is so over the top "wow-what-a-great-guy" its almost unbelievable. Fast forward and his life has fallen apart a little bit, because he became a little depressed and bitter, his wife has kicked him out and his kids are snotty teenagers who hate him. Driving home however THE MYSTERIOUS JANITOR who had given him a cryptic message earlier, jumps off a bridge into the river, and because he is just such a GREAT GUY he jumps in after him, and wakes up 17. (I told you it was highly reminiscant of Its a Wonderfull Life) He goes back to highschool and finds out what the world his kids live in is like. His daughter is dating The School Bully of course because she is The School Slut suprise suprise and his son is The School Looser yay. So he works on trying to help them and set theirs, and his, lives in order. While at the same time continuing to hit on his wife who thinks that hes her sons good friend who looks oldly like her husband, which is a little on the creepy yet hilarious side. I actually really enjoyed this movie a lot more then I thought I would, it was hilariously funny. I havent laughed this hard since Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, it was so funny. The humor was great, though the plot was painfully predictable, but it was all good fun anyways.
The Ugly Truth Another movie that I did not really expect to be all that into. But its Gerard Butler, who is amazing (Phantom of the Opera anyone?) and much more my taste then babyface Zac Effron. What I kind of appreciated about this one was that it wasnt your typical socially normal romance story.
First of all, the girl is a complete nutjob. Shes an obsessive compulsive control freak, who even I would have a hard time being friends with, let alone dating. She cant get a boyfriend because shes kind of really creepy/socially awkward and she has incredibly stupid unrealistic expectations in romance. But shes a sucessfull TV Producer so her crazies come in handy at work. The guy is a complete asshole. Like, you think youve seen chick flicks where the guy starts out as an asshole? You have no idea. The guy hosts this TV show called "The Ugly Truth" wherin he talks about how "Guys only want 1 thing ladies! SEXSEXSEXSEX they arent interested in you or your personality or anything at all only your ASS AND TITS" and on and on it goes, hes rude, hes crude, he treats women like shit, hes more then just a little "rough around the edges". First half of the movie was actually making me angry the characters were so unlikable. What makes me most angry is that guys like him actually get girls, ever. Because seriously, you couldnt meet a more unlikable guy. So the girl is trying to get a boyfriend and the guy tells her that he can whip her into shape so that shes not so insane and can actually attract a man. He changes her look and wardrobe (because one has to dress sexier dontchaknow) and trains her how to act not so neurotic. And it works and she gets the guy she was going for, but during the process the asshole learns about being sensitive and romantic and she learns about being more sexual and they end up falling for each other.
The interesting thing is, the guy does have some good points in his sex talk speals. Sex, control, power and manipulation are factors of relationships that get overlooked, and he emphasises them. The problem is, that they are not the only factors in a relationship, that people are much more multi-faceted then that, and good lord while I watched this Iwas so glad that I actually know guys who ARENT "just about sex".
The movie obviously was filled with sexual discussions and referances and earned its R rating for being incredibly crass, but I appreciated the honesty and the frankness of it. There was also one incredibly hilarious scene, in which the girl puts on a pair of vibrating panties, but then her coworkers show up early to take her to her business dinner. She dosnt have time to change so the remote goes into her purse and off they go! During dinner however she looses the remote and some kid picks it up, and wondering what it is, starts flipping switches! Funny but at the same time sexy....kind of a.. pet fantasy of mine, being out in public, trying to carry on a conversation and act normal while someone was playing with the dial on a pair of vibrating panties :D
Anyways. I fell in love with this movie by the end of it. The characters changed and grew so much during the course of the film that it was hard not to. And it was as predictable as any hollywood romance is, but it wasnt as conventional as some which is why I liked it.
Jungle Emporer Leo Watched this one a whiile back been meaning to write about it. Adorable! I love Kimba the White Lion its such a classic. But it really didnt age well and its aimed at such a young audiance that I cant really watch it much anymore. But! This new one came out more recently and it was a beautifully done updated version. An alternate reality to the main Kimba storyline? Its set in a sci fi esque future and the Ranger from the originals is now a little kid and there is a bg adventure and it is all MOST ADORABLE! I loved it so much. But it was so long ago that I forget what I was going to write about it I should not wait this long to write about stuff again. D:

Well! So Im trying out a whole new gameplan for the comic, Im going it panel by panel this time instead of pages and Im starting from a different point in the story and working in flashbacks instead of following the timeline directly. And Im letting myself work with three shades since I found two was waaay too restricting.
I wanted to do this pareticular panel first because it would explore how the characters would look and behave outside of the more sexy scenes like the haunted dreams and the sirene encounters. And Iv wanted to flesh out Lisa and her house for a while and I really like her.

Im not sure how to go about selling my work as I have never attempted it before. Never tried to get stuff put in a gallery... although I want to try to move in this direction, I want to become known in the artists community.
Also money is a nice thing.
But I have no idea about pricing? I dont know, Iv seen some paintings go for a couple hundred, and thought my skill level could match, but its also probably a lot to do with how well known you already are. As a newbie comming onto the scene I have no idea what realistic prices would be. Im considering using etsy.com perhapes, to sell originals and prints. But I also want to get into doing commisions. So guys. I know some of you are artists and/or knowledgable about how such things work. What is your advice?

OKAY. This was a stretch for me. Iv never done a piece that was outright full of penis before. In highschool I used to hide penis all over pictures, but they were hidden and subtle and you had to search for them. This is...quite over the top. Its also filled with naked faeries, and theres even a Xenomorph in there (because I felt like it)! Im not sure what possessed me... it certainly makes me more then a little uncomfortable...but there is a lot of historical presidence for celebration of the penis and other phallic symbols. It started out as me being silly and doodeling an ejaculating penis and it built from there. I actually really like the way it looks the outcome is really quite nifty. Shame I cant really show it to many people of my aquaintance. So you guys get to see it!
It was a lot of fun actually, I might do a series on octo-penor and faeries.

Happy Belated Halloween you guys. Everywhere I went the radio was either playing "Monster Mash", "Thriller" or "Ghost Busters". And I now have a brand new custom Aramii.com critter with spiderwebs. Ooooooo.
Some friends of mine (Juanita and Emily) took me out on the town for halloween. We went first to a bondfire that the Bible Study group was putting on and that was fun. Roasted marshmallows and made octopus-dogs (which is totally awsome. Have you ever done that before? Some people call them spider-dogs. But what you do is you take a hotdog, and slice down the middle from each end, and stop before you hit the center. Then do it again the other way, so that your dog has four "legs" on each side. Then you skewer it through the center and put it in the fire, and as it cooks the legs curl up and it looks like an octopus (or a spider)! Fun campfire tip ;))
After that, we went to THE BAR (Hideaway) to see a friend of Juanitas who was performing (hip-hop DJ kinda guy, it was interesting) The bar was doing all sorts of halloweeny events such as pumpkin carving contest (which we didnt get there in time to do, or else I would totally have entered) and bobbing for apples which I DID do. Lemons were 20$ tab for your table and Apples were 10$ tab and Mini-Whiskey bottles you just got to keep. I didnt bother going for money because Juanita and Emily dont drink at all and all I was having was an apple cider and a spansish coffee. Also bottles were easier to pick up.
After that we went to THE CLUB (THE club....we only have one, really) and that was...interesting. Juanita and Emily are very funny in that they both loooove clubbing...but they DONT like drinking, dirty dancing, or getting too close to members of the male sex. So I dont really see what they like about it so much. I kinda wished I could really get into trying the afforementioned activities since I dont do that...at all ever, but I knew that the girls I was with would not approve if I did, and it was akward so I didnt. But I actually did enjoy myself a hell of a lot more then last time I went clubbing (which is about two years ago now, in Trois-Riveres with Liz and Nikki)...Im not sure why, maybe it was because this time I was more self confident and less shy about what people around me were thinking. (Probably because Liz and Nikki are hardcore about dancing, whereas Juanita and Emily just want to have fun.)
I wish I had a picture of my halloween outfit (I say outfit because its really just some of my more fancy clothes combined in a slightly more dramatic way then usual, not a costume, because I actually wear this stuff) I was wearing my best red corset (fits me best, actually brings my waist in, has good boning) with a black strapless dress with a short skirt, and striped black and red stockings. I dont have any good shots that show off the ensemble but instead, here is the only picture from the night, of me bobbing for booze. (I got a mini-whiskey bottle, which I took home and put in hot chocolate, because whiskey by itself is nasty)

I went to a punk-rock concert party...thingy...tonight. Main band playing was The Phantom Creeps....never heard of them before. Punk Rock isnt really my scene.... But I had nothing else to do and some friends were going so I went.
I really manage to forget just how much of a wallflower I am when Im out of my element. In a group of people I dont know, playing music I dont usually listen to, in a venue I dont normally visit (it was held at the local tattoo parlour) I felt delightfully out of place. I latched onto the few people I knew and stayed with them the whole time, the times they went out for smoke breaks I stuck to the wall like GLUE. And standing with the smokers sucked because outside it stunk of cigarettes and pot.
But that isnt to say it wasnt enjoyable. The few people I did happen to know where people I dont usually hang with so it was neat to spend some time with them. And the music while not the kind of music I would buy, was entertaining in its own right. I had a rather enjoyable evening and stayed longer then I expected to.
But man. Id forgotton just how very unappealing guys my age are. What douche-bags. Every so often I need that reminder of why I cant stand 20-somethings guys. Yuck.

Yesterday I got laser hair removal to the Brazilian area. (Why is it called a Brazilian anyways? Its probably about as Brazilian as French Toast is French) I gotta say, the laser is considerably more painfull then I was expecting. Im used to waxing and its defonatly more painfull then waxing. In fact if I hadnt had some of the more painfull experiances in my recent history (like the nipple piercing among other things) I dont know that I would have been able to handle it as well as I did. It was okay, nothing over the top excrutiating, but yowy it can sure sting. Some spots more then others, I guess the more hair folicles in a zap the more it hurts. Im excited though its going to be so worth it in the end. The pain as well as the money (and 250$ a session for upwards around 6 sessions is nothing to sneeze at). If say, in a years time I can be comfortable hair free it will for sure all be worth it. Seemed like its working great, the lady said I was showing very positive results, since hair started comming right out while she was working!!
Tonight I nude modeled for my drawing group again! The drawing group had shut down for the summer and is now back up again so that was fun, havent done it in a while and boy do I love it. Whats sad though is that I will not be able to attend the group on a steady basis as an artist, because my Bible Study group is on the same night. Which is frustrating because both are very important to me, but Iv made a commitment to the study already so Ill only be able to be a model every so often and never an artist at the drawing group. Man Id forgotton how hard it is to hold a 40 min pose whilst my limbs are falling asleep. Modeling is not easy work! But very rewarding. And hey, since I cant attend regularily to draw, I got to get paid for it too! Bonus. (Usually what we work out is that I dont get paid, but I get to attend and draw for free)
Ill also probably be in an upcomming theater production doing a poetry recital! Im quite excited about this. Ill keep you posted.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Okay Ill start with my greivances with this. Simply being; Im so tired of 3D films you have no idea. Im very excited about the new film for Fantastic Mr. Fox because it is clay mation. Nice to see someone going back to an old medium instead of cranking out more and more of the popular 3D stuff. Im tired of the medium. However my opinions on 3D as a medium have no bearing on the quality of the film and allow me to say, it was excellent. Truely one of the funniest movies I have seen in a very very long time and you should all go see it right away. It was brilliant, a masterpiece of childrens storytelling. There is so much going on in this film, jokes you can miss because they are everywhere and happen so fast all over the place. Literally, every second of this film is gold. I defy anyone to go see this and not leave the theater with a smile. Utterly adorable sweet little love story and chock full of hilarity and mouth watering food visuals, this was a joy to watch. Iv never read the book it was based on but Im sure its excellent. Visually the character designs are very sweet and endearing, and some fairly nice social commentary in the smart sciency girl forced into the role of the dumb blond bimbo simply for the sake of "fitting in".
Defonatly a must see, and one I defonatly need to have in my collection.
Shugo Chara! Party!
Seen now the first two episodes of Party! and lets see...hmn. Interesting. I can defonatly see where all the hate is comming from. They took what was a very touching, sincere kids show and turned it into...a silly little cute-fest. Including the live-action bits with the girls from the singing group Shugo Chara Egg! is a strange touch, and the Puchi Puchi! shorts are so syrupy sweet adorable it feels like your drowning in a sea of molasses. Plus the fact that this season is virtually nothing but filler, and the manga fans are not pleased. Would I have been happier without the gimmicky new format? Yes. Does it mean Ill stop watching? No. No, Im a pretty loyal fan at this point, so while its taken a sudden much more childish turn Ill still tune in. And the main anime section, Doki Doki! is actually fairly intreguing, its introduction of a new character who can understand X-Eggs is interesting and Id like to see where they go with her. And Im still following the manga and although it would be nice if it stuck more with the source material, I understand the need for filler and Im not bothered by that. One thing that I really think was overkill was the inclusion of two opening themesongs. How annoying. The actually storyline is already cut in half, did you need to include three minutes of music shaved off the time when weve already had a themesong? Oh well. We shall see how this goes.
Strange Tales
Marvel has just recently released this little short story collection by various indie comic artists. I originally was interested in it because it features some work by Junko Mizuno, of whome I am a very big fan. But lo and behold it also features James Kochalka, whos daily webcomic I follow. I was very impressed/proud to be able to say that I recognise some of the names in here. (My indie cred is going up ohohoho) The work here is excellent! I am so impressed with the entire thing, with short stories ranging from humorous to odd to strange. The artwork is so diverse, and I love to see how the various artists brought their own style and flavour to the beloved Marvel characters. Ill probably defonatly check out the second volume when it comes out.
I really want to recommend this, it was an excellent read through. If you love Marvel, or comics in general, its a gorgeous book. Comics truely are a unique art form and this book is a beautifull little look at the diversity in it.

When I made my last recipe, the game popped up saying "Congratulations! You have now made one recipe from every country in the Americas! You have unlocked a bonus recipe!" Lord this program is amazing. I was so excited. And I finally made my secret awsome bonus recipe, which is this. Chicken Mole, a mexican dish which is basically chicken in a chocholate sauce.
The sauce is absolutly amazing. It consists first of garlic and onions, then tomatoes. Then some stock is added...then its spiced with cinnamon and thyme. Thickened some with flour. Roasted almonds and seaseme seeds go into it as well, and then finally, dark chocolate is melted into the sauce. This produced an absolutly amazing meal. Finished it off with some rice and brocoli because gotta have sides.
I was a bit nervous because I was cooking for seven people. But it turned out great! Actually quite defonatly one of my favourites so far and Ill certainly be making it again.
Went to see the movie 9 the other night. If you dont know, 9 is based on an animated short that was made a while ago. After seeing the movie I had to go watch the short aswell, and both are quite good, although the professionalism and talent of Tim Burton obviously shines in the film. Its a darker movie, and in some parts a little frightening. Not really in that "OH NO A MONSTER AHH" kind of way but in a creepier, more unsetteling kind of way.
The only problem with the movie is that so much is left so vauge that it feels incomplete. Even though the ending was complete, it still felt...lacking. Anti-climactic. I got to the end still wanting more to the story, more resolution.
Beautifull graphics. The characters really came alive for me, and the monsters were really cool/gruesom. Good nightmare fuel, and kinda steampunky. I enjoyed the movie and for sure recomend it. I still cant help feel a little vacant at the end though.
Anyways! Off I am to see the grandparents for Thanksgiving. Catch you guys later :)

So I had a bit of a....mental breakdown? No. Not as dramatic as that really. More of a moment of anger and frustration and artistic insperation.
People often make the mistake of thinking that being inspired is a good thing. They are quite suprised when they learn that I hate being inspired. "Art isnt fun" I tell people. "Art is a drive, a relentless force that propells me forward and dosnt tell me where its going. It hurts." When Im not inspired, I can focus on detail and actually draw a picture. When Im inspired, when that need to get something on the page hits me, I become claustraphobic, I become anxious and antsy, and I cant focus on a thing. I cant breath properly. Quality goes out the window and I produce crap like this.
